works that way now, at 9:00 P.M. It is to be effective December 1, 1985.
Consensus of the Board was to let the Town Manager handle it, and if there
are any problems, he can come back to the Board at that time.
c) Selectman McNair raised a question as to whether any answer had been re-
ceived from Mr. Vaz concerning the Mansfield House liquor license; there
has not. The Chairman will draft another letter to Mr. Vaz.
11. New Business
a) The Town Manager reported on a Bristol County District Disaster Area
meeting he and the Town Accountant had attended. He said there is a
chance for 872% eligibility for grant money on claims as a result of
Hurricane Gloria. He has written a Memorandum to various department
heads to come with a list and approximate costs to the next Department
Head meeting next Wednesday, when they will be meeting with FEMA offi-
cials.
b) Selectman McNair spoke about an article he had read in the paper this
evening, touching on the Firefighters petition, bringing up past occur-
rences in town, etc. Selectman McNair said he thinks it "stinks ", he
"does not believe in scare tactics ".
c) Selectman Dunn expressed concern for a number of dead trees, result of
the gypsy moth raid a couple of years ago, which are rotting, falling,
and could be a danger; the Town Manager will take care of this situation.
d) There was concern expressed for the area where Mansfield Ave., which is
one -way, leads onto Crocker Street, a two -way street; it was felt that
a sign stating "Two way traffic ahead" would be advisable. The Town Man-
ager will look into it.
e) Concern was also expressed for parking on Rt. 106 (Chauncy Street), in
the area of Vicino's, on both sides of the street which makes visibility
very difficult for those coming off Chilson Avenue. It was felt that it
is Vicino's vehicles and the Police claim they have no jurisdiction over
the situation. The Town Manager will look into it.
