Beautification &Community Greeninci: 7:00-7:45
1. Plans for North Common- Neil attended meeting
2. Board of Selectmen discusses downtown
3. Long term projects: route 106 embankment-Neil is going to reach out to Doug Annino
regarding be a consultant for committee
4. Trash Can Be Beautiful: request for barrel
1. we need to do inventory of trash barrels we already have
2. We need to decide whether or not we want to do a painting barrel
clinic/event this year
3. Idea is to maybe do a bunch of soccer barrels (themes,etc-Memorial
Park, Soccer Fields)
5. Installation of 1 trash barrel at Sweet&Crafty—trying to get a hold of Sweet and Crafty
owner
1. Would barrel be appropriate for outside of Aleda's bakery
Flower Barrels: what did we learn this year that we can apply next year?-58 barrels were used
this year—we have 61 total. All have been put away. They were heavy because it had just
rained. Do we want to fill 1/3 of a way with Styrofoam.
1. Nancy is going to contact Mark Cook regarding an appropriate holiday gift item or
lunch for their team to say thank you.
6. Adopt-a-Spot signs-Pat is going to check in with Mark Cook about them
7. We Noticed! —Let's plan on having a December/holiday winner
8. Mural-Some money raised, about$8,000-goal is $50,000 for the project.

10. Litter Busters Swat Team—On hold for the winter-need to re-assess

12. Treasurer's report
• Here's an update on the money front:
• We have $6879.48 in the account. There were two bills that needed to get resubmitted
due to Lorilee's extended absence:
• $250 to Doug Arnold for the completion of the web site rework
• $1045 to Patrick Lyons for the mums.
• Doug's check should have been mailed last week, and Sherri is checking with the
Treasurer's office on it's status. The Patrick Lyon's bill got resubmitted a week after
Doug's, so I believe it would go out this week.
• Going forward, I'm going to follow Nancy's model for the Mural project, and look to
submit deposits and bills directly.

13. Communications& PR
a. 190 Facebook fans, 116 Twitter followers
1.: Neil wants to make a list of constant contact for sending reminder emails
regarding various projects (ie flower barrels-reminder to water, etc)
b. Thank you notes?
c. Open issues; new ideas?
d. At next meeting let's do a calendar for the whole year
14. Plan on Meeting for Dinner at 6:30pm November 29 at Cheng Du
