5. Review& approve minutes from previous meeting
Beautification &Community Greening: 7:45-8:30
6. Trash Can Be Beautiful: request for barrel—
i. Step 1 —.Nancy has a list of all the barrels and Patricia will take inventory
ii. We need to decide whether or not we want to do a painting barrel
clinic/event this year
iii. Idea is to maybe do a bunch of soccer barrels (themes, etc—Memorial
Park, Soccer Fields)
7. New ideas or projects for 2013?
8. Route 106 embankment
a. What would work here? Tall trees-- Low Maintenance —
b. Need a design &cost estimate
c. Need to meet with DPW
d. Neil is going to a meeting/committee for downtown business he will bring it up
there and see where it goes Neil is also going to try and contact a few
landscapers-Other idea might be to put ad and/or letter in Mansfield Press to
see what community involvement we could get

a. Nominees for winter? Not right now.
10. Mural Update (Nancy)-About$12,756 has been raised/pledged

a. Volunteer recruitment(tbd) -
b. Tee-shirts (tbd)-Brian and Nancy
c. PR (Neil)
d. Placing the barrels around town on this day?
e. Maybe work with baseball fields on weeding and maintaining field-David will
head with Gerard McDonough from softball

12. Treasurer's report
a. 2013 fundraising—Neil is going to get letters out to Brian with his interns
13.We have$6879.48 in the account. There were two bills that needed to get resubmitted
due to Lori lee's extended absence:
14.We are going to go after the library sign grant again this year—Pat is going to do that
deadline in March
15. Communications & PR
a. 190 Facebook fans, 147 Twitter followers
b. Thank you notes?
c. DPW gift?-We got a crock pot for DPW with some food-Nancy took it—they
were appreciative
16. Open issues; new ideas?
a. Nancy reporting a bit on downtown business—they are trying to revitalize it
