Mr. Burke presented three possible zoning amendments for Annual Town Meeting. The
first would change the single driveway requirement in industrial zones to allow two
driveways, and to allow them to be wider. More than two driveways would require a
special permit from the Planning Board.
The second would make the modification of landscaping requirements special permit of
the Planning Board. Mr. French suggested rather than a special permit, a landscaping
modification could be a finding of the board, which would not slow down the permitting
process but still ensure quality development.
Mr. Frank said he thought applicants should read the requirements of the Zoning By-
Law closely enough that they could start the landscape modification process at the same
time they file plans.
Mr. Burke suggested the special permit requirement remain, but said he would draft an
amendment to make it a finding.
r
The third amendment involves removing the requirement to construct pedestrian access
through buffer zones.

Mr. Dolan said at the recent meeting regarding water issues, several issues had been
raised that may be addressed through amendments to the Zoning By-Law. Mr. Burke
said he would investigate that, but said many of thosetliings,:such as vegetation type,
could be done through the Subdivision Regulations. / .
Mr. French asked for two volunteers to serve on the Capital Improvements Committee.
Mr. Dolan and Mr. Achille said they would like to serve again.
Dr. Torman asked ifthere were any Zoning By-Law issues that had come up during the
Great Waves discussions that should be cleaned up at Town Meeting. Mr. Burke did not
think so, but said the landowners have asked to meet with the town to come up with a
good use for the property.
Motion: To send the Board of Selectmen a letter encouraging them to meet with the
landowner's representatives to work out the best use for the site
