Present: David W. McCarter, Chairman; Bradford E. Wills, Cler~~~ffl-ij?o~lJo~
Daniel Donovan; and Amos M. Robinson.
The Board of Selectmen met briefly in the Mansfield High School Library prior to
the start of the Annual Town Meeting to further review warrant articles.
Article 46
To support changes to the Mansfield Zoning By-Law by adding a new Section 1.5.49,
defining "Limited Access Street/Highway"
Motion: To support as amended to 25 feet.
(Amoruso-Wills) 3-1 with Selectman Donovan opposed and Selectman
Robinson not present Passes
Article 47
To amend the Town's Zoning By-Laws, Section 3.5.16, Auto Service Station
It was the Selectmen's understanding that this article will be withdrawn on the
r"' floor of Town Meeting.
Motion: If the article is not withdrawn, to not support the zoning amendment.
(Donovan-Amoruso) 4-0 with Selectman Robinson not present Passes
Article 48
To amend the Town's Zoning By-Laws under 3.0 Principal Regulations, 3.5 Business
Uses, to amend Section 3.5.16, Auto Service Station, to add this use as an allowable
use in the Business 3 District by Special Permit.
Motion: Not to support the article
(Donovan-Amoruso) 4-0 with Selectman Robinson not present Passes
Article 49
To amend the Town's Zoning By-Laws, Schedule 4.2.2, "Density and Dimensional
Regulations, Business and Industrial Districts." In the I-I district under the
minimum open space percentage, currently at 35'0, to change to 30'0
Motion: Not to support the article
(Donovan-Amoruso) 3-1 with Clerk Wills opposed and Selectman Robinson
not present Passes

r Article 52
To amend the Town's Zoning By-Laws to change the existing zoning of R-l to the
proposed zoning of R-2 for the parcels located on the easterly side of Branch
Street as identified in the warrant.
Motion: Not to support the article
(Wills-Donovan) 2-3 with Selectmen Donovan and Wills in favor, and
Amoruso, Robinson and McCarter opposed fails
Article 2
To support an amendment to the budget to include an outreach worker and to
adjust the budget figures accordingly by adding $26,665 to the salary line item and
$7,700 to the employee benefits/health insurance line item.
(Wills-Donovan) 4-0-1 with Selectman Robinson opposed Passes
At the conclusion of this session, the Board of Selectmen adjourned to the
Mansfield High School Auditorium for the Annual Town Meeting.
