An Open Meeting of the Mansfield School Committee was held in person and virtually,;grr:Tuesdldy, r
September 29, 2026 in room 3AB of the Town Hall. The open School Committee session called was,
called to order by Chair Jenn Walsh at 6:01 p.m.

Matthew Violette, Director of Finance and Operations

Jamie Vitonis
Members Absent:
Diane Ready
Members of the Finance Committee, Select Board, School Committee and Budget Subcommittee
convened. The meeting was run by the Budget Subcommittee.
For the Budget Subcommittee, Melinda Tarsi-Goldfien was elected Chair, Walter Wilk Vice Chair and
Jamie Vitonis Secretary.
The purpose of the meeting was to kick off the FY28 Budget Process. Town Manager, Mallory Aronstein
presented information on the current financial picture and a first look at next year's budget projections.
Ms. Aronstein proposed the following tentative timeline:
• TriBoard will meet in late November or early December to discuss staffing needs.
• Budget Subcommittee will meet in late December to discuss a potential override.
• TriBoard will meet again in January to discuss the Budget and Capital Improvement projects.
Additionally, the Needs Assessment Ad Hoc Committee will reconvene at the request of Lynn Cavicchi.
