The Animal Welfare Committee meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m. at Mansfield Airport.
Approve Minutes
Motion: To approve the minutes from June 18th, 2025. Passes.
Guest Speaker
Town Manager Mallory Aronstein attended the meeting to discuss shelter operations.
Among the topics she brought up were increasing fines and fees, and requesting Foxboro to
contribute more towards the maintenance of the shelter building than the current, annual
$1,00.00 that is stipulated in the Foxboro/Mansfield agreement for sharing the shelter.
Miscellaneous
It was noted that Amy Tarlton is not listed on the town's website as an AWC member. Town
Manager offered to take care of that, and Amy will check to make sure she is properly
sworn in.
ACO's Report
• Francesca plans to create new forms for animals coming into the shelter on hold, as well
as for animals that are in a trap/neuter/release program.
• Francesca proposed asking new volunteers to provide a driver's license or student ID
photo that can be scanned, printed, and attached to their volunteer applications.
• Only shift captains will be allowed to go into the quarantine room and take care of cats
in that room.
• A trainer is scheduled to come in to evaluate the dog Jazzy.
