BOARD OFASSESSORS MINUTES
Wednesday, Jitne l b, 202G, Mting
1. At 11:10 a.m., Clerk Dana St. James opened the Town of Mansfield, MA Board of Assessors
(`BOA") meeting held in the Assessors Meeting Room on the second floor of the Town of
Mansfield Town Hall.
2. A roll call revealed that the following Board Members and guests were in attendance:
a) Dana J. St. James, Clerk,
b) Vijay Popat, Member, and
c) Ann MacCarthy, Chief Assessor (non -voting).
The Clerk took the position of Chair for this meeting in the absence of Greg Matoian, Chair.
3. The BOA reviewed and approved the weekly motor vehicle abatements by majority vote.
4. The BOA reviewed and approved May 13, 2026, BOA meeting minutes by majority vote.
5. The BOA reviewed and approved the 2026 Motor Vehicle Excise Commitment 3 by majority
vote.
6. The BOA reviewed and approved the Preliminary Personal Property Tax Warrant to Collector for
Fiscal Year 2027 by majority vote.
7. The BOA reviewed and approved the Preliminary Real Estate Tax Warrant to Collector for Fiscal
Year 2027 by majority vote.
8. The Chair ascertained that there was no Old Business.
9. New Business: the Chief Assessor updated the BOA on the ongoing recertification process.
10. The Chair ascertained that there was no Business not anticipated by the Chair 48 hours prior to
this meeting.
11. At 11:28 am Attorney James F. Sullivan, Counsel to the BOA, joined the meeting.
12. At 11:28 a.m., the Clerk moved the BOA go into the Executive Session called under G.L.c. 30A
s2l (a) (7) to comply with G.L.c. 59 Section 60, to:
a) Review and discuss new updates fiom Attorney James Sullivan regarding ATB case
negotiations,
b) Review the previous Executive Meeting Minutes, and
c) Any items not anticipated by the Chair 48 hours prior to this meeting.
13. At 12:10 p.m. the Chair closed the Executive Session by a majority BOA roll call vote to do so
and the BOA resumed the open meeting.
14. The BOA agreed that our next BOA meeting will be held on Wednesday July 15, 2026, at I p.m.
15. The Chair moved that the BOA adjourn the meeting, the motion passed by a majority vote, and
the meeting adjourned at 12:18 p.m.
