Motion: To approve the minutes from May 21, 2025. Passes.
ACO Report
• Francesca reported that the three dogs on hold will be picked up by family members
tomorrow.
• Francesca received two requests for financial help from pet owners who adopted from
us, and whose pets now have medical issues. Francesca will get more details and
estimates, and present them to Mansfield Shelter Friends.
• Jazzy bit a volunteer and lunged at a visitor. Because Jazzy is becoming unpredictable,
Francesca will employ a trainer to work with and evaluate Jazzy. If there is no
improvement, Jazzy might be euthanized if she is unsafe to adopt.
Miscellaneous -
• Mary will send an email to shift captains, reminding them to use the correct format for
daily updates, and to inform them that only official volunteers, not friends or family
members, should work with the animals.
• Ana suggested that a form should be created to obtain parents' permission to post their
child's photo on the web if the child donates to the shelter.
• Guest speaker Erika, a designer and photographer, offered her services to create a logo
or other graphics that could help publicize the shelter, with the aim of fundraising. Amy,
Carol, and Francesca will work with Erika to formulate ideas and designs, and then make
a presentation to the AWC.
• Sharon reported that Merrimack Feline Rescue would still accept Munchkin and
Hasbrown if we are unable to find a home for them.
