Discussion/update on Search for new Library Director: N A H S I IF L O

Jean Mallon met with the Town Personnel Department Manager Jocelyn LeMaire on March 19
to discuss an appropriate process.
The Board reviewed and made editorial amendments to the job description presented by the
Chair.
The process is expected to proceed as follows:
• Post the job announcement on the Town Website, on the Massachusetts Board of Library
Commissioners (MBLC) Job Postings, and with local universities with relevant Masters
programs (e.g., Simmons).
• Applications will be received through a dedicated email address to be established and
applications made accessible to the board.
• Initial screening of applicants for suitability will be performed by the board as a whole
based on a review of resumes and cover letters.
• Finalists will be interviewed by the board, preferably in person, with potentially two
rounds of interviews depending on the number of suitable candidates identified. The town
manager will be invited to the interviews.
Adjournment: A motion to adjourn was made by Charlie, duly seconded by Kate and passed
unanimously. The Trustees' meeting adjourned at 7:20 p.m.
