RE: Recommendations for 2025 Grants
The Non -Profit Gift Fund Committee met on June 11, 2025 to review all the grant requests submitted. After a lengthy
discussion, the committee chose to take a slightly different route to the recommendations we are submitting to you for your
approval.
It has been the history of the committee, working within the rules established by the Select Board, to fund as many projects
as possible. This year, being the 2501n anniversary of the Town, and the need for funding to make this a special event, we
felt that these funds fit into the spirit of the committee rules, and that the total allocated funds for this year should be
granted to the 2501^ Anniversary Celebration Committee, to be used for the needs they have outlined with proper
documentation in their grant request.
We also took the path we normally have followed, which is to fund more projects, so that multiple non -profits can benefit
from this fund, and still strongly support the 2501h Anniversary Celebration Committee.
The recommended scenarios are as follows:
Scenario #1
250'h Anniversary Celebration Committee to be awarded $40,000 to help in funding many events for the celebrations the
Town will be holding for their 250 anniversary:

The total amount of these invoices is
just over $60,000. The grant is for $40,000. This would give the Anniversary
Committee the ability to strategize on where they could best use these funds, to make this the best event possible, with the
understanding that the awarded funds would only be used for these submitted requests.

The vote for both scenarios was unanimous, with Kevin McNatt abstaining for either scenario dealing with the 250'"
Anniversary Celebration Committee requests.
The following are grant requests that met all the necessary qualifications, but there was not sufficient funds to award any
additional requests:

MEMA $12,700 Alhnand GR Series Nite Light

Also, this committee lost Lorilee Fish recently with her passing. Lorilee was one of the original members of this committee,
where she served as clerk for so many years. We miss her dearly, and want to recognize her contribution to this committee
and our Town.
