Meeting Date: 10 September 2025 @ 7:00 p.m.
Location: Room 3AB-Mansfield Town Hall
Attendees: Jeff Ward (Chair), Kelly Kemp, Kara DesRoche, Pat Colbert, Danielle Dupree, Ana Newell,
Tobey Ludlow, Janice Wivagg, Neil Rhein
Absent: Martha O'Connell
Welcome & Call to Order
• Meeting called to order at 7:09 p.m.
• Motions were made to accept minutes from the KMB meeting of 10 June 2025 approved by
KMB members in attendance.

Treasurer's Report
• Balance of $12,094.39
• We broke even on Family Fun Night with donations
• Negative balance for FY2026 due to cost of flower barrels
• Bristol Liquors and Route 106 Liquors owe for Nip Bottle Program
Remembering Nancy Wall
• Possible bench in remembrance of Nancy Wall
• Possible post about Nancy in the KMB Newsletter
• Ana Newell will reach out to Nancy's husband, David Love
• Possible "Nancy's Wall" plaque on mural
Family Fun Night
• Our table was a hit with pencil giveaway, barrel signing, recycling game
• Many sign-ups from people interested in what we do
• Ana Newell created a Venmo account for KMB - discussion about PayPal fees vs. Venmo fees

• Kelly Kemp represented KMB at the Fun Run — she organized a girls soccer team along the route
- about 80 runners participated
• Jeff will reach out to Nancy Griffin about October 250th events to offer our assistance
Tree Project
• Ana sent a Thank You note to Patriot Subaru for the tree donations
• We still need to find homes for the trees
• The trees are healthy and thriving
Recycling/Climate Impact
• Tobey met with Liv Robinson to discuss ideas for climate actions that could be done around
town; Liv is very interested in getting involved; Tobey will invite Liv to our next meeting
• Neil Rhein spoke about the group lie is involved with called Students for Environmental Action
in Massachusetts (SEAM) with the goal of students creating clubs at their schools to focus on
these issues: litter prevention and clean up, waste reduction and recycling, and environmental
education
• Tobey and Neil will make plans to reach out to schools and get teachers/staff on board
KMB Overage Funds
• Overage of $518.40
• Motion made for $300 towards KMB 2026 annual dues and $218.40 towards storage facility fee.
Motion approved by members in attendance
September 20th Memorial Park Clean Up
• Danielle Dupre is working with Sara Carnavale.
2026 Clean Up Dates
• Date will be decided at our next meeting
Select Board Meetings
• October I st: Jeff will attend to update the select board on our happenings
• This week: Ana Newell will attend meeting to request our KMB board member numbers increase
from 9 to l l
Spark Good Grant Program - Walmart
• Other Keep Beautiful programs have received grants from Walmart and Starbucks
• Kelly Kemp will follow up with Walmart
Route 106 Embankment
• Site not as well kept as in the past; Japanese knotweed getting very tall and thick

November Clean Up
• Happening the first 2 weeks of November
• Pat Colbert has all the supplies and organizes the distribution
• Banner will be put up by DPW over Rte. 106
• No new T-shirts are needed for this event
• Discussion about getting more sports teams involved - Jeff will get input from Pat
Adopt A Street
• No new volunteers
• Danielle will re -work the page

• Will discuss at next meeting
Adopt a Spot
• Just one spot needs to be assigned (Mike Healy's old spot)
• Motion made for $120 to order new plaques for gardens. Motion approved by members in
attendance
Litter Busters
Mike Healy cleaned up with Medtronic group this week
KMB Meeting Dates for 2025
Next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, December 9th
Next Meeting: Tuesday Oct 14, 2025
