Ms. Doherty called the meeting to order at 3:02PM. 3' t{ 3 • Consideration to Approve Meeting Minutes from December 11 2024 Motion: To approve the December 11, 2024 Meeting Minutes. (Griffin/McKeon) Passes 3:0 • Discussion of the 2025 Community Service Awards Ms. Doherty welcomed Dr. Michelle McKeon to the Committee and Ms. Doherty provided an explanation of the three categories of awards. Ms. Kimmel arrived at3:06PM. Ms. Doherty stated that typically a high school student gets the youth award and it would be helpful if Dr. McKeon could reach out to teachers and guidance counselors. Ms. Doherty then stated that one of items the Select Board talked about was having a group award to give it to the members of the 250th Committee. Ms. Doherty then stated that Representative Jay Barrows was not formally recognized so the Select Board wanted to give him the Lifetime award this year and going forward recognize the Lifetime category as the F. Jay Barrows Legacy Award. The committee looked at the current plaque and agreed that the text could be smaller for the Lifetime award to include the F. Jay Barrows Legacy Award. The Committee then discussed presenting the awards at the January 21' Select Board meeting and to have their next committee meeting on December 2nd at 3PM. They also decided to edit the nomination form to have nominations due by November 215t at 12 noon. Ms. Champagne stated that she would reserve the room and send out an email with the meeting dates and nomination form. • Other items not known 48 hours in advance of the meeting There were no items. • Adjourn Motion: To adjourn the October 15, 2025 meeting at 3:3513M.
