Minutes 3/7/25
A meeting of the Mansfield School Committee Facilities subcommittee was opened and called to
order at 8:02 a.m.

Vacation Projects
Feb projects - installed and wiring for HS kitchen serving line, operational and working well. Had
to decommission old line. Added sprinklers to freezer in HS. Built frames for multipurpose room
in JJ, to allow for kids artwork can be hung. Water bubbler filters were changed. HVAC filters
being changed all buildings done, except QMS which is almost done. Big bathroom cleaning
with pressure washer and other areas deep cleaned while kids were out.
April - redo the lights in HS auditorium to become LED. HS roof work. Replace steam traps at
QMS to align w Boiler project. Grease trap replacement at Robinson. Locker repairs at QMS.
Looking at the summer list: paving, rooftop units, epoxy Robinson floor, install generator for
QMS.
Update ongoing or new projects
A Chiller - demolition as started. Need to finish installing temporary fence around that project.
Need to get it in ASAP because it supplies AC.
QMS boilers - still trying to come to a close with this. The steam boilers (1/2 the building) aren't
running like they should. Following up more than once a week to get it fixed. Looking into
getting it drained and cleaned to see if that will fix it. We still have funds left from this project so
we aren't incurring additional
