Motion to approve the August 14, 2025 meeting minutes made by Emily Beura, seconded
by Ryan Maxwell. Passed unanimously 3-0, 1 abstained, Kasia Frenette.
Ms. Beura shared information regarding the regulations and policies around Fat, Oil, and
Grease.
Ms. Donovan -Palmer shared with the Board that Arlene from Hometown Bakery has not
pumped their external trap quarterly, and Arlene has voiced her concern that she doesn't find it
necessary. Hometown Bakery had Baystate Sewage pump in February of 2024, July of 2025,
and in November of 2024 another company come and pumped the external trap. Baystate
Sewage sent the Board a letter of recommendation for the variance, but they wrote it under the
assumption that they pumped out a year and four months' worth of grease, but it was actually
only 7 months. Lawadessa Cafe has their internal trap pumped monthly. Ms. Frenette stated
that she would not suggest granting the variance until they see consistent pumping records.
Ryan Maxell made a motion to uphold the decision from last month to require Hometown
Bakery to service their FOG for another 3-month interval pump — (Mid October),
seconded by Chris West. Passed unanimously 4-0.
