Attendance: Giampaolo DiGregorio (Chair), Annette Shaw, Eileen Cusack, Dan
Cavicchi and Nancy Breef-Pilz. Guests: Kevin McNatt
The meeting was called to order at 7:01 PM by the chairperson.
Minutes: Minutes from March 19, 2025 were reviewed. Motion was made by
Eileen to accept as read; seconded by Annette. Motion was unanimous.
MACRIS Project: Each group reported on their work to update the MACRIS
listings in their designated part of town. Any corrections to the current listing
should be made on an Excel sheet. Check the current address and use. Note if it
has been demolished, including the date if possible. Make a list of buildings
constructed in 1925 and before to be added to MACRIS. Information from the
AxisGIS map available on the town's website will help for dates.
Annette suggested purchasing an Historic Marker for the Hartwell School in East
Mansfield. Currently The Uncommon Theater is housed there. Investigation into
the lease agreement will be made.
Fisher -Richardson House: The house will be open for school tours as usual,
and Sunday hours for the summer. Kevin McNatt, President of the Historical
Society, reported on the recent fire which damaged the house next door. The
Fisher -Richardson House was spared. Kevin suggested having the property
surveyed to reestablish the borders with neighboring property. Paolo will inquire
with the town's Engineering Department.
250th Celebration: A program featuring the Card Memorial Chapel and the
Spring Brook Cemetery was discussed. Members were invited to visit the chapel
on Saturday, May 24 at 10am when the cemetery board would be meeting. A
possible date for the program is Saturday, July 26. Final details will be made at
the next meeting.
Downtown Design Guidelines: A copy had been sent out by Sarah Raposa.
The plan was reviewed and discussed.
2025 Meeting Schedule: The next meeting was scheduled for Tuesday, June
17.
Adjournment: Motion was made by Dan to adjourn the meeting at 8:15 PM;
seconded by Eileen. Motion unanimous.
