All groups received grants except $150 Attleboro Community Theater and $250 Special Needs advocacy Group. Tonight we voted on: $645 was requested vs $250 allocated for "Fabulous Folktales & Myths for Seniors/Adults". They contacted MLCC to say they cannot perform for the grant amount they received from us due to travel time, etc. The council questioned if we are allowed to up the grant amount now or do we need to obtain state approval. Another option discussed was to postpone her request until year 2025. Council voted to wait for state input and if approved we will hold this grant to 2025 cycle. Going forward we should take into account distance to Mansfield as an allocation factor. See Treasurer's Report at end of the minute's document. Mansfield Local Cultural Council 6 Park Row Mansfield, MA 02048 February 5, 2024 Ongoing Business Membership — Update: all Eileen C will verify Jim Stanislous's membership status. Discussion occurred on quorum attendee requirement. It was stated that 5 must be in attendance for voting purposes and we cannot meet without a quorum. General attendance requirements were also reviewed. Per town requirements you may not miss 3 consecutive meetings. Documentation Binders and folders were updated with 5 years of data and Eileen will shred the outdated documents. Annual Report Shared with Council members. Traffic Box A question was raised on the location of our MLCC Discussion barrel with the space theme. Marc will investigate. As a reminder traffic light control box costs $795 to wrap the box and $100 to clean the box. Once it's clean and the outside temperature is 50 degrees, the box can be wrapped. EC showed the "Colorful Lineup" image to the council. This will be the 2nd box in town. An attempt is being made to get the town to clean the box. If not, we may be able to use $100 of our administrative money for the cleaning. Grant Tracking and Update: Event Tracking — n/a Kelly K.
