COA Newsletter
• Due to the increased postage costs, we have been working with the Friends to reduce
the cost of sending out the Newsletter.
• Over the past few months we have been able to reduce the number or people who
receive the newsletter via mail from 1700 to 1500
o 2 Friends members cross-referenced the mailing list with the town census
o Kristen reached out to the post office to receive all returned mail so that she
could remove them from the list
o Wendy receives monthly death notices from the Town Clerk. Those people are
removed from the list.
o We removed people from the list who attend programs regularly.
o The Friends are uncertain if they will be able to continue to fund the newsletter.
o We have discussed what we would do if we no longer had funding from the
Friend for the newsletter.
o We discussed having the newsletter placed at different locations throughout
town. Kristen has been reaching out to local businesses community
organization to see if they would be willing to have the newsletter placed there.
