BOARD OFASSESSORS MINUTES
Wednesday, April 9"', 2025, Meeting I ,
1. At 708 p.m., Chairperson Greg Matoian ("Chair") opened the Town of Mansfield, MA Board of Assessors
("BOA") meeting held in the Assessors Meeting Room on the second floor of the Town of Mansfield Town
Hall.
2. A roll call revealed that the following Board Members were in attendance:
a) Greg Matoian, Chair,
b) Andrew Bank, Member,
c) Dana J. St. James, Clerk, and
d) Ann MacCarthy, Chief Assessor (non -voting).
3. The BOA reviewed and approved the weekly motor vehicle abatements by unanimous vote.
4. The BOA reviewed and approved the BOA meeting minutes fi•om the meeting of March 5, 2025, by
unanimous vote.
5. The Chair concluded that the only Old Business item would be discussed in Executive Session.
6. The Chair ascertained that there was no New Business.
7. The Chair ascertained that there were no items not anticipated by the Chair 48 hours prior to this meeting.
8. Andrew Bank moved that the BOA go into Executive Session called under G.L.c. 30A s21 (a) (7) to
comply with G.L.c. 59 Section 60 to review recently submitted exemptions, to review the previous
Executive Session minutes and discuss the aforementioned Old Business. The motion passed by a
unanimous roll call vote, and the Executive Session commenced at 7:45 p.m.
9. At 8:05 p.m. the Chair closed the Executive Session by a unanimous BOA roll call vote to do so and the
BOA resumed the public meeting.
10. Based on its review in Executive Session, the BOA approved by unanimous vote those who qualified for
the following statutory exemptions: 2 under Section 17D, 3 under Section 22 and 2 under Section 37A.
11. Based on its review in Executive Session, the BOA denied one exemption under Section 4 IC as the
applicant was disqualified because applicant's income exceeded the maximum allowed.
12. The BOA agreed that our next BOA meeting will be held on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at 7 pm.
13. The Chair moved that the BOA adjourn the meeting, the motion passed by unanimous vote, and the
meeting adjourned at 8:10 p.m.
