Also Present: Joseph Sollecito, General Manager MMED
Chairman DelVecchio called the executive session to order at 7:05 PM.
1. Pursuant to M.G.L. Ch.164, Section 47D and M.G.L. Ch. 30, Section 21, Exemption 3, to discuss strategy
with respect to collective bargaining if an open meeting may have a detrimental effect on the bargaining
position of the public body and the chair so declares.
Mr. Sollecito provided an update on bargaining and went through some of the anticipated requests and shared
the initial strategies that he developed for upcoming union negotiations with the AFSCME union and the IBEW
groups. The Light Commissioners asked questions and shared their views of what the goals should be for final
settlements and they shared their concerns about future budgetary constraints due to outside economic
factors. No motions were made.
Motion: To adjourn the executive session on April 25, 2022 at 7:23 PM. (Trowbridge/Aptowitz)
