The Animal Welfare Committee meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m. at Mansfield Airport.
Approve Minutes
Motion: To approve the minutes from October 17th. Passes.
Shelter Maintenance
The Town has begun work on installing wiring and floodlights for the dog area in the rear of the
shelter.
Cats
• Marshall has a severe heart murmur and will require an echocardiogram. Mary will check
cost and availability.
Miscellaneous
• The shelter will begin collaborating with Hill's pet food. Hill's will supply free food
packages to be sent home with adoptions. Hill's food for shelter cats and dogs will be .
available at a 20 — 30% discount. Carol and Sharon will keep track of records for Hill's
give-away packages.
• Starting next year cats, as well as dogs, will be microchipped. For cast the chips will be
small nano chips. The chips still need to be ordered.
• The December AWC meeting will be cancelled because of the holiday season.
