Meeting Minutes
November 21, 2024
Present: Maureen Doherty; John Nieratko, Kara Griffin and Rose Kimmel and Lt. Thomas Connor were present
in meeting room 2 A/B at Town Hall.
• Open the Meeting
Ms. Doherty called the meeting to order at 4:OO13M.
• Consideration to Approve Meeting Minutes from December 11, 2023
Motion: To approve the December 11, 2023 Meeting Minutes. (Connor/Griffin)

• Review the Community Service Awards Process and Discuss the Next Steps
Ms. Doherty asked the members of the Committee to explain the process and discuss the next steps of the
Community Service Awards. Members shared that the nomination forms are redacted and sent to the
members for review and then at the meeting each member shares what their top choice is. Ms. Griffin
explained that sometimes when someone is saying why someone was their favorite sometimes your opinion
can change in the discussion. Mr. Nieratko said the open discussions are good. It was further discussed to
change the deadline to December 21d to give people more time to submit nominations.
Establish Next Meeting Date
The Committee discussed possible dates and decided on December 11th at 3:30PM.
