Meeting called to order @ 7:30pm
The meeting began with a roll call and discussions about the distribution of June
minutes.
The Secretary's report was briefly mentioned, and the Treasurer reported dispersing
$1,500 to several organizations, leaving a balance of $10,164.
There was a discussion about funding issues, and the process of obtaining funds from
the town and state.
Ongoing business included updates from the 250 committee, downtown government,
membership grants, and event tracking.
The Fall Festival is postponed until the 250th celebration is complete.
The mural restoration project is ongoing, with a November 1 deadline.
The West Street Bridge project is progressing.
The 250th gala is scheduled for October 3, with events planned for August 22-23.
Concerns about auctioning a quilt were raised, with suggestions for raffling or auctioning
at the August weekend events.
Sponsorships and fundraising strategies were also discussed, highlighting the need for
additional items for auctions or raffles.
The meeting focused on organizing quilt squares for a town event, with a deadline of
December 31.
Feedback from the booth was positive, highlighting public excitement but noting the
challenge of long-term planning.
The group discussed the importance of fundraising and communication, suggesting
monthly emalls to keep participants engaged. They also considered using local
landmarks for quilt themes and having a Plan B with fabric pictures.
The financials were reviewed, noting the need to submit an annual report by October 16
and the importance of timely grant applications.
The meeting concluded with a reminder to finalize grant decisions and prepare for
upcoming meetings.

Action items
- Follow up with Nancy Griffin to remind people to submit quilt squares and provide
their email addresses.
- Set up a meeting with Adrianna, Alma and Jim to meet Nancy and discuss filing
the annual report and fundraising questions.
- Suggest creating a Facebook event page for the 250th anniversary celebrations
to the town.
- Email the list of people who signed up during the "Quilt event' to the chair.
- Forward the meeting minutes to everyone.
- Review the 2025 meeting schedule as the group gets closer to that time.
Marc Clamage sets a motion to adjourn, Elvire Stanislous second the motion
Minutes expected to be approved at the November, 2024 meeting.
