September 11, 2024
Attendance: Jean Mallon (Chair), Debbie Gordy, Kate Pope, Charlie Cullinan, Leonard Epstein
and Catherine Coyne, Library Director. The meeting was called to order by Chairperson, Jean
Mallon at 5:37.
Secretary's Report: The Minutes of the June meeting were reviewed. Charlie made the motion
to accept the June minutes; seconded by Kate and approved unanimously.
Treasurer's Report: Treasurer's report was reviewed. Kate made the motion to approve,
Debbie seconded and it was unanimously approved. Treasurer's reports for July and August
were also reviewed. Kate made the motion to approve them, Jean seconded and approved
unanimously.
Librarians' Reports: The librarians reports were reviewed

Action items for fiscal year 2025 were updated by Catherine.

Catherine will host a consultant to discuss layout and furniture.

New Business:
Fiscal year 2025 early closings were voted on:
Day after Thanksgiving - open
Christmas Eve - close at noon
New Year's Eve - close at 3:00 pm
Motion made to approve made by Jean, seconded by Charlie and unanimously
approved.
FY 2026 - the budget process is starting much earlier. Catherine has already had to submit a
tentative budget for salaries.
Motion was made by Charlie to adjust the stipend for the Assistant Library Director for the
remainder of the fiscal year 2025 effective 9/20/24. Motion seconded by Kate and unanimously
approved.

Next meeting will be October 9, 2024 from 5:30 to 7:30.
Adjournment: A motion was made by Jean to adjourn the meeting at 7:11 p.m., seconded by
Debbie. Motion to adjourn was unanimously approved.
