S. Report #rom the Fundraising and Marketing Advisory Committee regarding fundraising
opportunities and outreach. Discussion and consideration on Fundraising and Marketing
Advisory Committee items requiring committee approval.
a. Fundraising Updates A donation/sponsorship sheet total was passed around to the
committee. Ms. KGriffin and Mr. MacDonald volunteered to deliver the lawn signs. Thank -you
notes will be sent. There was discussion how the 250`1 handcards would look. One suggestion
was to include a printed sentiment with room to add a personal note. It was requested that the
return address go on back of the envelope.
Ms. KGriffin shared there is a TriChamber member interested in supporting the 25011
Celebration. Ms. NGriffin and Chair MacDonald offered to present information. Ms. KGriffin
will initiate the contact. There is still a need for a Finale sponsorship to fund the fireworks
display, which will cost @ 25K. Another fundraising possibility is outreach to citizens and a
firework fund drive.
b. MA250 Grant Application The MTT grant was not awarded. There will be further
inquiries to other funding opportunities.
c. Merchandise Updates
25011 members and volunteers have tended the merchandise table at the Saturday farmers
market. Available soon for sale are the yacht totes, carry bag and green bandanas for small
dogs. The 25011 merchandise store goes online Oct. 2. Customers will be able to click on
merchandise and prices. There is no shipping and all purchases are picked up at the Park and
Rec Department in Town Hall. For the first two weeks, payments are by check, then afterwards
credit cards too. Buyer will scan a QR code that will go to the pay site. The 25011 merchandise
needs a display cabinet. Members were encouraged to look out for any "going out of business"
signs for one.
The merchandise booths were discussed related to locations and staffing. Discussed having no
cash sales. Mr. MacDonald and Ms. Stanislous volunteered for Mansfield 101, which is an
information table only. Other events include the soccer tournament during Columbus Day
weekend, Halloween parade, Mansfield clean up -info only, the Arts and Crafts Fair on 10/5,
which already has two volunteers, and Abolition Day on 10/14.
Discussed the volunteer sheet made available for sign-up during the events. It should go to Mr.
MacDonald and Ms. NGriffin afterwards. There was discussion as to why the volunteer page
wasn't "up and front" on the website. It was pointed out volunteers aren't needed at the
moment, but in preparation for the May parade, the sheet will be front and center as of
February 2025. Ms. NGriffin will oversee the volunteers and send them the merchandise sale
date opportunities.

d. Fireworks Due to the cost of the event, a RFQ (request for quotes) has to be
submitted. Ms. N Griffin must obtain three separate as the first step. She reached out to other
communities that happened to use the same company for their event. Nantucket is the only
town that has responded to her inquiries. The general cost was 25K. The Town Manager has
reached out to Xfinity as a possible finale location. Ms. NGriffin spoke to the Fire Chief, who
was okay with the fireworks finale. Hutchinson Field on Rt.106 was recommended, which is
next to Memorial Park.
Princess House offered to donate merchandise. Ms. NGriffin inquired about creating an
ornament, though has not heard back.
There is interest for a commemorative medallion. For the 200th, there were bronze medallions,
with a few made out of silver, and some for an auction. It was noted a Mansfield resident
owns the North Attleboro Jewelry Company. An online auction for the medallions was
suggested.
The Mansfield Police agreed to make a 250"1 badge and wear it for a year, then make them
available for sale. Ms. NGriffin will inquire if the Fire Department will do the same.
She suggested the US Navy Band for a 50-minute concert on Incorporation Day. Also
mentioned the Hallmore Clydesdales in Lakeville for the parade and noted that group out of
