Facilities Subcommittee
Minutes 03/21/24
A meeting of the Mansfield School Committee Facilities subcommittee was opened and called to order
at 8:02am.
Attendees: Jenn Walsh, Vivian Webster, Matt Jacques, Ed Donoghue
Minutes for 09-14-23 and 12-07-23 were approved 2 — 0.
A brief discussion was held on facility usage fees. The district needs to evaluate the pricing points for
rentals and determine if a fee scale is needed for various groups ranging from school use, Mansfield
youth sports, out of town requests, etc. Upon completion of review, will present to the whole
committee.
Facilities Director Matt Jacques provided updates on each of the MASC efforts, water filtration and
HVAC system inspection timelines. Upcoming summer projects were discussed. The track is scheduled
to be shut down for use on April 1511 pending availability of vendors. The goal is to complete within the
first couple weeks of September. The QMS Boiler will be shutdown on May 151h. Work to remove the
existing boiler will start in the overnight hours when no one is in the building.
