The pansies still look healthy due to the cool weather conditions and rainfall. This may be the best year we experienced with the pansies. Normally, the plants look stressed by this time, in the season. We are scheduled to remove the pansies the week of June 17t6 and plant begonias. Pat Will send the exact dates for the pansy removal and begonia planting when she returns from vacation, to see who is available to help with the planting.,A few businesses remain that owe rrloney for their`planfs, Pat Will collect from therii when we plant the begonias, Lastly, Janice Wivagg placed the flagss in theflower barrels fgr'Memoriaiay D, The new larger flags ' looked great. Litter Busters Upcoming activities: Phish/Water Wheel foundation Cleanup Day Is scheduled to take place on Saturday, July 20"'1 The KMB Committee was in favor of supporting the request received to assist the Phish/Water Wheel Foundation with finding a KMB activity for their selected fans. Danielle Dupre will lead the project and spoke with the foundation's activity coordinator on June loth. The foundation expects 15-25 volunteers to participate, and a clean-up event appearedto be the best type of activity suited for the group size. Ideas for the clean-up location included places that were scenic and shaded, such as one of the local parks (Fulton'sPond) or bike path, as July days can be hot. KMB has enough clean-up supplies and some leftover t-shirts to support the event, and Danielle will plan to buy some water and snacks. Event' parking options at the old Police Station and DPW trash bag pick up logistics will be coordinated. Kelly Kemp will assist with event promotion and Pat Colbert will support Danielle at the event. A Paint -a - Barrel activity that could be used as an alternative activity in case of inclement weather was also Page516 proposed; however, the option may not be possible to implement as logistics would need to be ironed out in a very short timeframe. Possible upcoming clean-up activities:' Teleflex (Erin Lawson) in September/October; Medtronic and Trimark— dates TBD. Shaw's Reusable Bag Program No updates.
