North Main Street. The project's proponent, Mr. Whitley, was present and provided a presentation on
his proposal and the building's history.
McDermott explained that this represented a smaller project and suggested allocating $5,000 towards
it.

Hometown Hardware, 284 North Main Street
McDermott explained that Hometown Hardware's business owner had unfortunately been unable to,
attend that night's meeting. He explained the business owner also owned the building. The proposal
entailed removing the awning- which was weathered, replacing a broken show -window, repairing leaks,
power washing the trim, repainting it, and hanging drapes to protect from the sun. While the bids for
the proposal ranged from $12,705 to $13,500, the program parameters would only allow the IDC to
award the project up to $9,999. The property owner would be responsible for covering the remainder of
the cost.

to Hometown Hardware at 284 North Main Street.
