avoid any loss of money and work put into those plots.
Ed Westhaver inquired if there are more people, that the group is aware, have more than
four plots. Mr. Zajac stated that there are only four participants in total.

In attendance were consultants from the haz waste company LSP along with the drainage
design engineer, town engineer, Rick Alves, and Mike Ahern onsite.
After excavating the area, it was uncovered what appeared to be parts of an old tank, pieces of
metal along with some piping, that was below a secondary layer of asphalt and the area had the
material types that were previously identified in the Penny report from the mid 90's when it was
discovered in other areas. This was previously referred to as "off spec asphalt" as the town used
to mix it back in these areas many years ago. Samples had a clear odor.
Areas in the back -parking lot, 2 additional test holes were excavated that contained similar layers
of this "off spec asphalt" along with other debris such as concrete, wood, metal, brick etc. We hit
layers that were in the Y think area of this type materials. After excavation down at depths of Est
8-10' we hit what is believed to be the "A" layer of material, which is the organics, which had
probably been filled over many years ago. Samples of this material for additional testing were
taken and it had a clear odor.
Ms. Gurnon briefed the Recreation Commissioners regarding the Memorial Park
Scoreboard. Chuck Hurley from Scoreboard Enterprises has completed his portion of
rebuilding of the scoreboard and it's functional again. Jay Barrows coordinated the repairs
with DPW personnel and Mr. Hurley. Mr. Hurley replaced many internal parts and other
items necessary, and just requires some screens that are on order along with replacement
of lexan plastic covers that are utilized to help with vandalism.
