There are significaift diffewnce� between MASC and our own. Jen will update changes to the documents and bring them formview before going to the full committee in October/November. Policy KCD (Public Gifts to Schools) was reviewed along with DO and DD-R (Funding Proposals and Applications.) These are ready to go to School Committee on 9/26. Relative to these policies is the need to review our Internal Control Manual for Federal Grants which is required every couple of years. MASC changes: Another round of changes has been provided by MASC (September newsletter.) Lynn Cavicchi and Teresa Murphy will continue to meet to discuss changes from the March and September updates. Quick changes will be prioritized along with any that have key impact to our district. This list of policies for an upcoming meeting will be set on Friday. Health -related: Diane Nugent will speak with Christine Dooling regarding any needed changes. IKE, IKF (Promotion and retention of students and graduation requirements): Reviewed the first draft of changes proposed by Mansfield High School. Next steps are to bring the proposed changes to the leadership team for review. Once complete, the policy subcommittee will review. BEDH (Public Comments): Changes made by MHTL (Andy Waugh have been incorporated into our policy. MASC made changes in August. These were reviewed but since ours is more comprehensive, Mansfield will adopt language as proposed by MHTL. Will bring to 9/26 meeting. In these cases, these policy names will be brought to School Committee as an update but will not be voted upon. Any quick housekeeping change such as a name change or pronoun change for example, will be made in Central Office but will not require School Committee approval. All other revisions will continue to be voted on by the full committee.
