The IDC accepted the minutes from 6/22/23, 7/6/23, and 9/14/23. Some members abstained as they
had not been present from certain meetings

Pilot Sign& Facade Program
McDermott informed members that a signed contract for the Pilot Sign & Facade Program
had been
submitted and that the Town was awaiting the Commonwealth's countersign. Once this was secure, he
would begin rollout for the program.
VHB Parkway Design.
McDermott had continued to meet weekly with the internal Parkway team- including himself, the Town
Manager, Planning Director, and DPW Director- and monthly with VHB's staff. The Parkway's design was
ongoing while Fin COMM had recently allocated $90K, enabling VHB to lead negotiation of a
development agreement between the Town and the MSROD's other property owners.
Fail Festival
McDermott provided an update on the Fall Festival held earlier in the fall.
Discover Mansfield
McDermott briefed members regarding progress in Cabot Park wayfinding project. He also informed
members that he and Penta Communications were exploring the possibility of a targeted social media
campaign, focused on business executives.
IDC Membership
Martin informed members he would be stepping down after this meeting. McDermott added that he
would be interviewing Wayne Smith for appointment to the IDC the following day.
Meeting Times
McDermott asked members if the meeting time remained convenient for them. Jones expressed interest
in a later time, specifically from 6:30pm on, due to traffic coming back from Boston.
Key Partnerships
McDermott informed members that he and the Town Manager would be presenting at the Tri-Town
Chamber's annual TM/Economic Development Breakfast. He also stated that he'd be renewing the
Town's memberships in both MassBio and MassEcon.
Business Development
McDermott updated members on a number of development projects throughout the Town.
Key Partnerships
McDermott informed members that he had nominated the Walgreens Micro -Fulfilment Center Project
at 44 Cabot Blvd. for a MassEcon Team Massachusetts Impact Award. He also informed them he and
MassEcon were discussing marketing a local site.
