BOARD OF ASSESSORS MINUTES
Wednesday, October 4, 2023 Meeting
Board of Assessors
Dana J. St. James, Clerk
1. At 6:30 p.m., Chairperson Greg Matoian ("Chair") opened the Town of Mansfield, MA
Board of Assessors (`BOA") meeting held in the Assessors office conference room of the
Town of Mansfield Town Hall.
2. A roll call revealed that the following people were in attendance:
a) Greg Matoian, Chair,
b) Andrew S. Bank, Member, and
c) Ann MacCarthy, (non -voting, Chief Assessor)
The BOA reviewed and approved by unanimous vote the newly submitted Chapter 22,
22E, 17D, 37A and 41 C Real Estate exemptions.
4. The BOA denied by unanimous vote a newly submitted Chapter 41C Real Estate
exemption.
5. The BOA reviewed and approved the weekly motor vehicle abatements by unanimous
vote.
6. The BOA reviewed and approved by unanimous vote the fiscal year 2024 warrant to
collect from Treasurer for Bristol County tax.
7. The BOA reviewed and approved the minutes of the September 6, 2023 BOA meeting by
unanimous vote.
8. The Chair ascertained that there was no Old Business.
9. The Chair ascertained that there was no New Business.
10. The Chair ascertained that there was one item not anticipated by the Chair 48 hours prior
to this meeting. The BOA reviewed a letter recently received regarding the current
status of abatement request for 5 and 15 Hampshire which indicated that the hearing has
been deferred.
11. The BOA discussed the date for the upcoming BOA classification presentation to the
BOS on October 18, 2023.

12. The Chair moved that the BOA adjourn the meeting, the motion passed unanimously, and
the meeting adjourned at 6:51 p.m.
