The next step is to meet with Ed Donoghue and Deb Scott to review. Jen will reserve two Friday meetings on 8/1/23 and 8/18/23 to meet with Ed and Deb. MASC changes: The subcommittee will continue to review the public speak policy once legal counsel has issued updated policy version ("client alert"). Lynn Cavicchi asked that Diane Nugent pull together the list of "quick changes" that were originally on the agenda for May for Teresa to review and add to an upcoming agenda. Phone meeting scheduled for Friday 7/25 for Lynn and Diane to review list of policies. Health -related: Lynn asked that Diane pull together a list of health -related policies that Christine Dooling should review for the beginning of the year. Gifts: would like us to review DD, DDA and KCD as priorities. Jen will add this to the meeting agenda when she meets with Ed to discuss other section D policies. It was noted that MASC no longer has policy DDA. Lynn suggested that Ed can reach out to MSBO and that perhaps Andy can provide some guidance. Promotion and retention of students and graduation requirements: Diane will send policy IKE and IKF to Tina Karidoyanes, Russ Booth, and the assistant principals at MHS. to make sure the wording in the program of studies and new handbook is in line with the district policies. EFD unpaid meal charges: In case the state does not do offer free lunches next year, Lynn noted we should review this policy to be sure wording reflects intent of the School Committee, in particular Approved 09-19-23 Mansfield School Committee Policy Subcommittee Meeting Minutes for July 24, 2023 Superintendent's Office, 2 Park Row, Mansfield, MA 02048 sections 3-b and 3-d. Suggested edits will be made by Diane and then reviewed with Ed Donoghue and Dawn Langtry.
