The Animal Welfare Committee meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m. at Mansfield Airport.
Approve Minutes
Motion: To approve the minutes from January 19, 2023. Passes.
ACO Report
• Jeff was alerted by MSPCA that there is a potential cat hoarding situation on Willow Street.
The MSPCA is investigating and will keep Jeff informed.
• The stray dog Jeff brought in this morning was picked up by the owner this evening.
Dogs
One puppy survived from the premature litter of Portuguese Water Dogs that were delivered
at Tufts. Karen Prevett is fostering the puppy, and using an incubator.
Maintenance
• Carol again requested a permanent light for the dog play area. There are only temporary
lights currently. Permanent lighting has been a request to the town for the past year.
• Sharon brought in an order of disposable litter boxes for the quarantine room.

• Sharon will contact the Vetco manager to inquire about their billing practices.
• Mary and Carol will look into other local vets to expand veterinary options for the shelter.
