Review of the minutes from 7/6/23 and 6/22/23 were deferred to the next meeting as there was not a
sufficient number of either meeting's participants present.
Downtown
VHB, Inc. and Parkway Design
McDermott informed members that VHB, Inc., the consultant responsible for design of the Parkway
servicing the newly rezoned Mansfield Station Revitalization Overlay District, had begun monthly
meetings with himself, the Town Manager, the DPW Director, and the Planning Director. At the
membership's request, he agreed to bring a copy of their preliminary plans to his next meeting.
Pilot Sign & Fagade Program
He also informed members that the Select Board had approved the Pilot Sign Fagade Program, with
some slight amendments. These included funding cap per property and a request for an update in
October. He further explained that the state budget had been signed earlier that week and he would be
following up with the Town's legislators regarding next steps.
Discover Mansfield
McDermott updated members in regards to the ongoing Discover Mansfield campaign. He also briefed
them in regards to a wayfinding project that was being discussed relative to the Cabot Park.
IDC Membership
There was nothing to report.
Business Development and Outreach Updates
McDermott discussed recent business developments across the community.
