Chair MacDonald called to order at 6:31 PM
2. Approval of Minutes from May 219t Meeting
Motion: To approve the minutes from the May meeting. Passes: 8-0 (Mr.
Andrews, Ms. Murphy)
3. COA Meeting Visit Review
Chair MacDonald attended the'COA's Board and the Friends of COA's'meeting.
Members of the groups offered to volunteer for celebration events. The use of
the Congregational Church was also offered in support of the'town's 250th'
4. Discuss and establish volunteers/volunteertable for'DBA Family Fun Night
(FFN)
The event is July 11 from 6-9. Chair MacDonald and Mr. O'Brien offered to
manage a 25001 table for FFN to promote the anniversary and recruit volunteers
for sub -committees from 6-8. Mr. Andrews shared his design for banner. The
subject of money came up due to the cost of the large banner.'' He also
volunteered to approach the Town manager regarding start-up funds. The
committee discussed general communication expectations to provide visitors.
Chair MacDonald offered to send out an email.
There was inquiry if the slogan contest was posted. There was agreement to
provide slogan contest flyers at FFN. Access to a QR code for volunteer
registration was suggested'
5. Slogan/Logo contest update
Chair MacDonald passed around the promotion material from Ms. Griffin the
contest. The question was asked who was judging the slogan/logo contest. The
Committee? Mr. Andrews shared that would be the decision of the
subcommittee. He offered to speak with Ms. Griffin about having a page on the
Mansfield website to include a QR code.
6. Discussion of potential fundraising strategies
The Committee discussed the following fundraising opportunities.
Discussion of the Gala led to one suggestion having something less formal.
There were additional suggestions for event date.

Motion: To establish Festival subcommittee. Passes 9 — 0 (Ms. Feely, Mr.
Andrews)
There was Committee consensus to reach out to many different community
groups for the event.
8. Categorize events into subcommittees
This was skipped because the subcommittees will determine their own.
9. Discuss and establish future meeting dates:
Next meeting is Wednesday, July 19, 6:30 in Conference room 2 A/B
August meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, August 30, 6:30 in 2 A/B
10. Other items not known 48 hours in advance
The Committee was informed the library is doing a "Welcome to Mansfield Night"
on Oct. 251h from 6-8 and asked if the Committee was interested in having a table
display.
Motion: To establish sub -committee for Welcome to Mansfield Night table
display. Passes 9 — 0 (Mr. Andrews, Mr. O'Brien).
11.Adjourn
Motion: To adjourn the June 21, 2023 meeting of the 250t' Celebration
Committee at 8:27 PM. Passes 9 — 0 (Mr. Andrews, Mr. O'Brien).

250`b Anniversary Celebration Committee
MANSFIELD 250TM ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION
LOGO & SLOGAN CONTEST
Would you like to design the logo or slogan that represents the Town's upcoming
commemorative celebration? The 250th Anniversary Celebration Committee is currently
seeking submissions for artwork to represent the event. The chosen logo and slogan will
be used for promotional materials and commemorative items.
OPTIONS (Select one):
Q Logo - Create original artwork which represents the 250th Celebration.
Q Slogan - Create a tagline that is fitting for the year -long celebration.
Q "Slogo" - Create a pairing of tagline and logo that work great together.

how your creation is relevant to the Sestercentennial (2501h) Celebration, how it is related to Mansfield's

DESCRIPTION:
REQUIREMENTS: Submission deadline is September 24, 2023. Artwork must be your own original
work. Submitted logo artwork must be a high resolution jpg file.. By signing below you give the Town
exclusive, unlimited use ofyour art and slogan. Send submittal and application to 250th Celebration
Committee, Town of Mansfield, 6 Park Row Mansfield or email to celabration@mansfteldma.org office.
