Mr. Dumas reiterated that this is an important project to the town and lie is researching various grant opportunities that may be available to help offset the costs. Mr. Dumas stated that he needs to get a substantial grant to be able to move this project forward and he has been speaking about it with the select board. Mi•. Dumas stated the budget years ahead will be tough so this has to be planned out well as he doesn't see a lot of support for an override with the town accepting the fall cost of the project without any help financially. Mr. Dumas stated there may be some additional opportunities available to get larger grants by incorporating additional aspects into the design which he has been researching with Fire Chief Justin Desrosiers. Presently Mr. Dumas suggested slowing down the project and getting everything in order so that when the time comes and grants are available we will be ready.
