1. Call To Order Select Board Meeting
The members of the Select Board were at a meeting of the Mansfield Planning Board. Mr. Rhein, Vice -Chair
called the meeting to order at 7:04PM with three members present.
2. SRPEDD Commission Member Appointee, D. Austin Horowitz, meet and greet
Mr. D. Austin Horowitz was present and was introduced to the Planning Board by Ms. Raposa, Planning
Director. She noted that he has been the Towns representative on Southeastern Regional Planning &
Economic Development District (SRPEDD) for ten years. Mr. Joseph Cerretani, Chair of the Planning Board
thanked him for volunteering and asked if there could be updates throughout the year.
3. Consideration of Endorsement of Housing Production Plan Revision Review
Ms. Taylor Perez and Mr. Robert Cabral were present from SRPEDD to present the 2023 Housing Production
Plan. Mr. Cabral stated that this document is a roadmap to address a range of housing initiatives that
Mansfield wants to accomplish in the next several years. He showed a timeline of how the plan was created
and thanked everyone whose Input was needed including the Mansfield Housing Corp. Ms. Taylor provided
a high-level overview of the goals and the housing strategies and then explained that the next steps were to
get the plan fully adopted. She stated that the Planning Board and Select Board would need to take votes to
agree on the content and send to the Executive Office of Housing and Livable Communities (EOHLC). She
stated that sometimes there are non -substantive changes that are suggested or more explanation may be
required on a section. Ms. Raposa stated that she recommends both Boards approve the plan pending any
substantive changes which will help expedite the process. The Planning Board then took a vote that was
unanimously supported approving the Housing Production Plan as presented. The Select Board then took
the following vote.
Motion: In accordance with the provisions of 760 CMR 56.03(4), to approve the 2023 Housing Production
Plan subject to substantive comments from Executive Office of Housing and Livable Communities formerly
DHCD. (Roche/Doherty)
