The Animal Welfare Committee meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m. at Mansfield Airport.
Approve Minutes
Motion: To approve the minutes from March 16, 2023. Passes.
ACO Report: Cats
• Jeff will try to schedule Maple for a vet visit next Thursday or Friday. In addition to the
usual intake exam and vaccines, he will try to get an evaluation of her personality.
• Two cats were surrendered this morning because the owner is moving and can't take them.
Dogs
• Woof s applicant withdrew due to personal circumstances, so Woof has no current
applications.
• Little Dog will go home a week from Saturday.
• Hill's Sensitive Skin and Stomach will be the dog food for shelter dogs in the future, rather
than the more expensive and prescription EN food.
Maintenance'
• Ana reported that Guerrini is ready to install 3 inches of gravel, topped with 6 inches of pea
stone in the dog play yard to eliminate the constant muddiness. The project will be funded
by Mansfield Shelter Friends.
• An exterior light for the dog play area is still waiting for approval from the town.
