The minutes from the meeting on February 9, 2023 were discussed and approved.

Quarterly Select Board Update
McDermott alerted the members he intended to provide the Select Board a quarterly report at some
point in the coming month.
Downtown
A. BETA Group, Inc. & TOD
McDermott discussed feedback received during the past month's public workshops and
explained that the Planning Board would be pausing the public input phase of the project in
order to draft a final proposal, ahead of a public hearing in May. He also made members aware
that the Town's new planner- Sarah Raposa- had officially stepped into her new role.
B. Downtown Grants and Business Assistance
McDermott stated that he had recently spoken with Rep. Scanlon, who offered to insert a
$50,000 line item into the House's FY2024 budget proposal, supporting the creation of a Sign &
Faeade Program.
Discover Mansfield
McDermott discussed the latest activity relative to choosemansfield.com and the Discover Mansfield
social media suite.
IDC Membership
McDermott informed the members that Jim Shriver, a Mansfield resident and Deputy Executive Director
of the Village at Willow Crossing, had been appointed to the IDC but was unfortunately unable to attend
that night,
Members discussed filling the two remaining seats and whether there were any specific industries or
business sectors they should seek to have represented in potential candidates.

McDermott updated the IDC on recent business development and outreach efforts.
