TUESDAY, November 27, 2007
A meeting of the Mansfield School Committee was held at the Town Hall, Room 3B & C on Tuesday,
November 27, 2007. The meeting was opened with a motion by Mr. Trowbridge, 2n4 by Mrs.
Losiewicz; then a motion was made by the School Committee to go into Executive Session, 2nd by
Mrs. Miller. The meeting was called to order in the Superintendent's Office by Chairman Jean Miller
at 7:00 PM.
Members Present:
Mrs. Jean Miller, Chairman
W. Michael Trowbridge, Vice Chair
Mr. Frank DelVecchio
Mr. Steven Greenberg
Mrs. Lisa Losiewicz
Also Present:
Mrs. Brenda Hodges, Superintendent of Schools
Mr. Edward Vozzella, Director of Finance
Motion was made by Mr. Michael Trowbridge, 2"d by Mrs. Lisa Losiewicz to adjourn from Open
Session to Executive Session for the purpose of discussion regarding Personnel issues. Roll call vote:
Mrs. Miller, yes: Mr. Trowbridge, yes: Mr. DelVecchio, yes: Mrs. Losiewicz, yes: Mr. Greenberg
arrived at 7:15 P.M.
Motion UC: 4 - 0
Discussion began regarding personnel issues. The committee felt that there should be some light shed
upon the use of proper protocol and the chain of command with respect to parental concerns. The
chain begins with the teacher, and progresses to the principal, Superintendent then the School
Committee. A parent has requested the opportunity to address the School Committee in Executive
Session. A motion was made by Mr. Trowbridge, 2"d by Mrs. Losiewicz, to have the parent write a
letter to the committee to explain the issue regarding his/her child who is no longer in the system and
present some ideas that may be helpful in the future. The committee voted to accept that motion.

Meeting of Tuesday, November 27, 2007 at 7:30 P.M. for the sole purpose of adjourning. Roll call
