Mansfield School Committee Meeting
Executive Session Minutes for Tuesday, April 10, 2018
Superintendent's Office
The open meeting session was opened and called to order by Kiera O'Neil at 6:31 pm.

Teresa Murphy, Superintendent of Schools
Motion to enter Executive Session: Kiera O'Neil asked for a motion to enter into Executive Session
pursuant to M.G.L. Chapter 30A, Section 21 for the Following Purpose: Under Exception No. 2, To
conduct strategy sessions in preparation for negotiations with nonunion personnel or to conduct
collective bargaining sessions or contract negotiations with nonunion personnel.

Teresa Murphy asked that the committee consider a review of administrator salaries both in
comparison to each other in the district and to those in neighboring districts. She asked that
they review current salaries and then reconvene at a later date with their recommendations.
When looking at school administrators (principals and assistant principals, Teresa asked that
the committee keep in mind the amount of weekend and evening obligations especially at the
high school.
Kiera O'Neil called for a motion to leave executive session, return to open meeting and then to
reconvene executive session upon completion of the open meeting.
Motion to reenter open meeting at 6:58 p.m. by Linda Fernando / Jenn Walsh.

Meeting reconvened from open session at 8:45 pm.
Salary for Jim Leonard as Special Education Director: Discussion held on Jim's current salary
and that of the current director, Bernadette Conroy. Committee came to an agreement on a

salary. They also agreed to complete discussion for other administrator salaries at the April
24th executive session meeting.
Kiera O'Neil called for a motion to adjourn from executive session.
Motion to end executive session at 9:11 p.m. by Linda Fernando / Jenn Walsh.
