Mansfield School Committee Meeting
Executive Session Minutes for Tuesday, November 27, 2018
Superintendent's Office, 2 Park Row, Mansfield, MA 02048
The open meeting session was opened and called to order by Kiera O'Neil at 6:30 p.m.

Edward Donoghue, Assistant Superintendent of Schools
Motion to enter Executive Session: Kiera O'Neil asked for a motion to enter into Executive Session
pursuant to M.G.L. Chapter 30A, Section 21 for the Following Purpose: Under Exception No. 3. To
discuss strategy with respect to collective bargaining or litigation if an open meeting may have a
detrimental effect on the bargaining or litigating position of the public body and the chair so declares.

Teresa presented the first draft of custodial staff negotiations proposals. Meetings begin on
Wednesday November 28, 2018. At the first meeting, proposals will be presented by both
sides. Our proposals have been reviewed by Teresa Murphy, Michael Connolly, Edward
Donoghue, Jocelyn LeMaire, Matt Jacques and Andy Waugh.
The proposals are categorized as Housekeeping; Substantive; Committee Rights. Key points
that the district would like to discuss are Snow Removal, Overtime Language, Vacation accrual,
Weekend Event Coverage. There are other items on the list as well. The committee rights are
anew section to reflect the needs of the district. School Committee agreed with the proposals
but did ask that we revisit the language regarding health insurance. Kiera O'Neil will represent
the school committee at negotiations.'
Kiera O'Neil called for a motion to leave executive session not to return to open meeting.
