Mansfield School Committee Meeting
Executive Session Minutes for Tuesday, May 07, 2020

The open meeting session was opened and called to order by Kiera O'Neil at 6:00 p.m.
Members Present: Administration Present:
Kiera O'Neil, Chair Teresa Murphy, Superintendent of Schools
Lynn Cavicchi, Vice Chair Michael Connolly, Assistant Superintendent of Schools
Linda Fernando Edward Donoghue, Assistant Superintendent of Schools

None
Upon completion of the open meeting, The Committee entered into Executive Session pursuant
to M.G.L. Chapter 30A, Section 21 for the Following Purpose:
Under Exception No. 2, To conduct strategy sessions in preparation for negotiations with
nonunion personnel or to conduct collective bargaining sessions or contract negotiations with
nonunion personnel

Under Exception No. 3. To discuss strategy with respect to collective bargaining or litigation if
an open meeting may have a detrimental effect on the bargaining or litigating position of the
public body and the chair so declares.
Superintendent Teresa Murphy reviewed the status of the two elementary Assistant Principal
positions. We will post internally first as we have a teacher whom we hope will take the
position at Robinson. The posting will then go out on SchoolSpring.
Discussions were held on how to move the negotiations forward. There was some debate on
meeting remotely or in person. We will propose a distanced in person meeting to the MEA.
Kiera O'Neil called for a motion to leave executive session and to return to open meeting.
