Mansfield School Committee Meeting
Executive Session Minutes for Tuesday, August 18, 2020

The open meeting session was opened and called to order by Kiera O'Neil at 6:03 p.m.
Members Present: Administration Present:
Kiera O'Neil, Chair Teresa Murphy, Superintendent of Schools
Lynn Cavicchi, Vice Chair Michael Connolly, Assistant Superintendent of Schools
Linda Fernando Edward Donoghue, Assistant Superintendent of Schools

None
Teresa Murphy provided an update on teacher negotiations:
There are several proposals on the table mostly surrounding the details of hybrid and remote
learning. QMS is reviewing potential schedule changes.due to the cohort requirements. Other
items relate to ventilation, safety, the virtual remote program by the state and childcare
options.
Daily cohort may be 4 days per week instead of 5; we are awaiting additional DESE guidance.
District is currently looking to identify the students for the daily cohort.
Ms. Murphy also met with the paraprofessionals to discuss any concerns they may have. At
this time they did not express any major issues.
Kiera O'Neil called for a motion to leave executive session and to return to open meeting.
