The open meeting session was opened and called to order by Kiera O'Neil at 6:08 p.m. Roll Call was
taken.
Members Present: Administration Present:

Motion to enter Executive Session: Kiera O'Neil asked for a motion to enter into Executive Session
pursuant to M.G.L. Chapter 30A, Section 21 for the Following Purpose: Under Exception No. 3. To
discuss strategy with respect to collective bargaining or litigation if an open meeting may have a
detrimental effect on the bargaining or litigating position of the public body and the chair so declares.

The MEA ratified the Collective Bargaining Agreement for the upcoming school years. School
Committee will vote at the next open meeting.
Superintendent Murphy provided an update on teacher negotiations related to returning to school.
Discussion points:
• Governor Baker's announcement of new metrics and return to school guidance
• Reviewed a list of MEA requests regarding back to school
• Next dates for negotiations 8/12 and 8/17
Kiera O'Neil called for a motion to leave executive session and to return to open meeting.
