Entered into Executive Session pursuant to M.G.L. Chapter 30A, Section 21 for the Following
Purpose: Under Exception No. 3. To discuss strategy with respect to collective bargaining or
litigation if an open meeting may have a detrimental effect on the bargaining or litigating
position of the public body and the chair so declares.

(Teresa Murphy will preside until the annual reorganization of of school committee occurs in
open meeting.)
Negotiations with the MEA are ongoing. Key points are GradeBook and the salary proposal.
Extensive discussions held on the use of Aspen for grading. Options regarding contract
language, timing and training were key. Teresa met with Jenn Edgerly to get an overview of
Aspen and how the software works. The district has worked with Andy and'a counter proposal
has been created which will include additional training for staff, a delayed start date for using
GradeBook and updated contract language.
