A meeting of the Mansfield School Committee Budget Subcommittee was opened and called to order at
6:03 p.m.

Review of FY24 Budget N m
Ed is still reviewing staffing and revolving account balances and will bring some general
recommendations to the full committee on 1/24. Ed noted some initial strategies to help offset the
budget request, including utilizing the School Choice revolving account to offset an FTE at the high
school, shifting some utility costs to the CHAMPS revolving account, and looking at enrollment -driven
staff reductions. There also was one additional staff retirement submitted, which will offset the FY24
salary request.
Roland Green Fee Waiver Program
Ed will meet with Debbie and Krista about enrollment and estimates of loss of revenue, if the district
was to pilot this program. Lynn noted that Andover appears to have a fee waiver in place for preschool
and suggested Ed and Debbie contact the district to see how they handle preschool fee waivers.
