Discussion ensued regarding record filing. Marc will
enlist all present to assist with reviewing and filing
some documentation and mailings at the close of
this meeting.
Membership
Elvire Stanislous is now an approved member and
will schedule her swearing in with the town clerk.
Elvire was appointed to the town committee
representing MLCC for Mansfield's anniversary
celebration in 2025. Elvire's appointment was
approved unanimously by all attending members.
Remove the 2 previously cited potential new
members from our list until further notice.

o Discussion ensued on how we will conduct
the application reviews and our criteria to
review grant applications. Eileen will send
out form for us to use to evaluate the grant
applications.
o Once deadline passes the state puts a
panel book out with all grant applications
that we can use as a reference.
Continuing Business:
Updates:
Downtown Committee
. Fall Festival Review:
o Overall the festival was a hit even with the
light rain event.
o Over 300 canvases were ordered and used
children — next year increase amount to
400.
o Positively Mansfield is posting photos and
contains comments for all to review.
o Scavenger hunt was a huge success and
the 'interactiveness' of the events kept
people busy while dealing with lengthy
waiting lines for the Ferris wheel and
paddle boats.
o Bead Cache and MMAS did not show for
the event.
o The beer garden was a hit but the location
was not conducive to hearing the band.
o Logo ballots were collected and tallied —
see below.
o Improvements for next festival:
• table cloth clips should be used

o Gail did a great job coordinating the event —

onboarding new members and reviewing position
descriptions. Eileen will resend descriptions (for
Grant Tracker, Publicist, Chair, Vice Chair,
Secretary and Treasurer) to the council.
Abolition Day
Raffle for Abolition day — if anyone wants to
contribute to the Abolition Day raffle, see Gail - as
the deadline is 10/9.
There will be an educational speaker in the South
Common at 2pm.
