Wednesday, December 7, 2022 Meeting
1. At 6:39 p.m., Chairperson Greg Matoian ("Chair") opened the Town of Mansfield, MA
Board of Assessors ("BOA") meeting held in the MBC Room on the third floor of the
Town of Mansfield Town Hall.
2. A roll call revealed that the following people were in attendance:
a) Greg Matoian, Chair,
b) Andrew S. Bank, Member,
c) Dana J. St. James, Clerk, and
d) Daniel C. Brogie (non -voting, Chief Assessor)
3. The BOA reviewed and approved the minutes of the October 26, 2022 BOA meeting by
unanimous vote.
4. The BOA reviewed and approved the weekly motor vehicle abatements by unanimous
vote.
5. The BOA reviewed and approved the Motor Vehicle Commitment/Warrant 2022-5.
6. The BOA reviewed and approved the FY 2023 Actual Real Estate and Personal Property
Warrants.
7. The Chair ascertained that there was no Old Business.
8. The Chair opened discussion on the following New Business: The Chief Assessor has
given notice that he will retire as of February 1, 2023 and the Chain asked the Chief
Assessor to update the BOA on the town's efforts to find his replacement. The Chief
Assessor noted that there were candidates to succeed him, some of whom have been
.interviewed and that the process is ongoing.
9. The Chair ascertained that there were no items not anticipated by the Chair 48 hours prior
to this meeting.
10. The Clerk moved that the BOA go into Executive Session called under G.L.c 30A s21
(a)(7) to comply with G.L.c.59 Section 60 to review the October 26, 2022 Executive
Session minutes. The motion passed unanimously, and the Executive Session commenced
at 6:50 p.m.
11. At 6:52 p.m. the Chair closed the Executive Session and resumed the public meeting.
12. The BOA approved the minutes of the October 26, 2022 BOA Executive Session meeting
that was reviewed in Executive Session, by unanimous vote.
13. The Clerk moved that the BOA adjourn the meeting, the motion passed unanimously, and
the open meeting adjourned 7:56 p.m.
